Driftin' Luke and His Personalities:
Driftin' Luke consists of Colby and whoever he happens to be collaborating on a home recording project with at the moment. After completing the first Road to Angelove cd, Colby thought it necessary to go under a moniker for no particular reason other than the desire to do so. Luke being his middle name, driftin' being his favorite game and differing personalities being his fickle claim, he set out on a variety of musical adventures. Any recordings done by Colby and without Joey or 'The Channel' fall into the driftin' luke realm, and there remain stagnant. The music of Driftin' Luke might be described as sleepy experimental pop with an east texas edge. Another tidbit about the Luke projects is that many of the songs recorded eventually end up in the hands of the fellow Channel band members, and some are chosen to be processed through The Channel outlet, as has happened many times already (See Tones are Falling and Personalized). There are 2 more chapters in the Road to Angelove saga, which Luke hopes to one day get down on musical paper, either through His Personalities or through the ever popular Channel. Until then, those whose curiosity is overwhelming them could write c-side records and ask for a particular title from Driftin' Luke and we'd try our best to oblige.
